Far away from civilization
High up in the Namaqualand
Are the plains that each year come alive with an abundance of flowers
Celebrating the joy of spring
For centuries
The Nama people have told stories of joy
Of how the Gods of the earth create floral displays
Paying tribute to Gods of the Heavens
Giving thanks for the rains
And the bounty they bring
Lorraine Ralfe has, over the
years made an annual pilgrimage to the Namaqualand
To photograph this incredible natural phenomenon
And now, in her first International solo exhibition
She shares these intimate images with you
So many secrets …
So many sights...
